Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts to Nexa: Journal of Visionary Social Empowerment (NEXA). All submitted manuscripts will first be evaluated by the editorial team to ensure their suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to the author guidelines, originality, ethical compliance, and overall manuscript quality.

Manuscripts that meet the initial editorial requirements will be processed through a double-blind peer review involving qualified reviewers. The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection will be made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ recommendations, editorial assessment, and the manuscript’s contribution to the field of community service, social empowerment, health, education, and community-based development.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal. Authors are also responsible for ensuring that all individuals listed as authors have made a significant contribution to the manuscript and have approved the final version submitted to the journal.

Authors must obtain permission to use any copyrighted materials included in the manuscript, including photographs, illustrations, tables, figures, documents, instruments, or datasets. Where applicable, studies involving human participants, communities, institutions, or personal data must comply with relevant ethical standards and obtain approval from an appropriate ethics committee or institutional authority.

The editorial team may reject a manuscript without external review if it does not meet the minimum requirements, including lack of relevance to the journal’s scope, poor manuscript structure, unclear research or community service objectives, insufficient methodological explanation, low originality, ethical concerns, plagiarism, or failure to follow the journal template.

Authors are advised to prepare their manuscripts carefully by ensuring that the title is concise and informative, the abstract is clear and self-contained, the introduction presents a strong rationale, the method is explained systematically, the results and discussion are relevant and well-organized, and the conclusion reflects the main findings or outcomes of the activity.

Manuscripts should be prepared using the official NEXA article template. The manuscript must use a consistent format, including appropriate heading levels, table and figure numbering, citation style, and reference formatting. NEXA uses a numeric citation style in the text, such as [1], [2,3], or [4-6], with references listed in numerical order according to their first appearance in the manuscript.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure citation accuracy and consistency. All references must be complete, accurate, and relevant to the manuscript.
